I'm thinking about buying a Galaxy S Vibrant with1 GHz Cortex-A8 CPU and Android OS, v2.1 (Eclair).  Does anyone here know the Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant price for the unlocked version?  What would be cheaper, the locked or unlocked version?  Thanks in advance.

Hello there Ford,

Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant is one of the high end phones in the market by Samsung in terms of both price and features. Currently the Off contract official price of the device is $449 and the on contract price is $199 extending up to 2 years.

The locked version is obviously cheaper if you are using T Mobile and the unlocked version is definitely costlier considering the difference.

All the details of the pricing and contract details can be found on the official page of Galaxy Vibrant on the T Mobile website here.
