Registry Error Code 1402 on installing software

Hello Everybody,

Good day! I want to use an application that improves my English skills. I got the set up disk from my teacher. I am not able to install the application due to registry error 1402 error code, which I have pasted below. Please resolve the registry so that I can use the application.

Registry Error Code 1402 on installing software

The cause of this error is that the program is trying to modify some registry key and you don't have administrative grant.

Try to click on the application then select "run as Admin". Or if not, do these steps:

1. You need to backup the registry first. To find it how click here.

2. Click Start or Press the Window button. Type "regedit" without the quotes. This will open the Registry Editor.

3. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRunOptionalComponentsMSFS.
