I have successfully installed Windows Server 2012 in my computer with Windows 8 installation. But now an error occurs whenever I try to access a folder in D drive with shared permission. The error is windows server 2012 file permissions access denied. Can someone help me understand the reason behind this error?
Recover From Error Windows Server 2012 File Permissions Access Denied In Windows 8.
The only reason behind this issue is that you do not have permission or ownership of this folder.
To get an ownership of the folder, perform the following:
- Right-click on the folder and click Properties.
- Under the Security tab, click on “Advanced,” and then click “Change.”
- Then enter the person’s name whom you wish to give ownership.
- Click “Check Names.”
- Click on “OK.”
Now try to access the folder again.
