Received an error while playing Crossfire

I was playing Crossfire when randomly I got this error message below. 

ERROR

Failed to Global.cki download. (ERROR_URISTATUS)

I tried rebooting and re-installing the patch I just installed from MPGH but the error wouldn’t go away.  

I checked my internet connection and it seemed fine.  I was at a loss and didn’t know how to fix the error. 

Please teach me how to make the error go away.

Received an error while playing Crossfire

Let me help you with your problem. First,  uninstall Crossfire from your computer.Go to Control Panel select Add Remove PRograms. On the currently installed programs tab, select Crossfire and then hit the remove button.Follow instructions to ultimately remove the program.AFter uninstallation is complete, download another installer and patch  from the website of Crossfire and install it according to what you have done before.AFter installation, try to run your game.If it will run and the error will not come again then, your problem is solved.

 

If the error comes again, Try to reinstall your operating system(Microsoft windows xp, vista, 7) or whatever OS you have. Next is just follow the first procedure.

Hi,

 

Try to check the software if there a corrupted files if it’s possible and then try to scan the software if there an infected flies or application to be sure only. Try to uninstall the software to make sure to clean up then try to reinstall again the software from the your machine and then just simply check the video card if it’s working properly to your system then upgrade the video card software if it’s possible and then try to scan the system if there infected files or application from viruses and maybe spyware from the machine just simply check on that if it’s possible only and to avoid anything error or problem.
