QuickBooks Error 1328 When Reinstalling The Software

Hello techyv users!

I just tried to reinstall the Quick Book 2006, it is showing this error "error 1328 : error applying patch to file c:config.MSiPT 28.tmp" I need assistance for patching: it said it has probably been updated by added substance, and can no mortal be varied by this track. Any help will greatly be appreciated.

QuickBooks Error 1328 When Reinstalling The Software

Hello Catherine,

When you get that error, there is usually an Ignore option in the error message dialog. You will need to keep clicking the ignore button in the error message in order to keep the install alive. Note that this may resolve the issue and it also may not.

But for some applications, the Ignore button may not be there, you will therefore need to click the retry option only once and see if the update will proceed successfully. In case it does, you will have to reinstall QuickBook 2006.

If you click the Abort button in the message dialog you might get error 1603. You will therefore have to close Windows and after that restart the machine.
