Hi to everyone,

A question about internet video capture safari. What is the difference on the performance of video capturing in mac operating system and windows operating system? In our company we tend to use windows 7 operating system and a default browser of Mozilla Firefox, what can you say about the Safari browser internet video capture?

Your suggestion is very much welcome.

Hi,

You are using safari browser you will find that there is no option for capturing/download streaming videos. But you can capture with the browser’s built in tool provided that you are downloading a flash file.

For example, browse to a YouTube video you want to download and start playing it. Then press Command option-A to produce safari’s activity window. In that window you will see the name of the video by the word YouTube.  In that list of links below search for an entry of many megabytes that are to be loading. Double click on it and it will download to your pc as an FLV file. Then you can play this file with third party tool.

And i also Giving you a add-ons link for windows, just download it and you will find a download option in youTube.

Mac operating system is very nice to capture video with safari as these both are the product of apple. Mac has own plugin to capture video with safari browser. Windows operating is easier than Mac. Mozilla Firefox has high quality add-on (http://www.downloadhelper.net/support-expert.php) to capture video which is eligible with both windows and Mac operating system.

Safari hasn’t default capability to capture video without flash file in Mac. An extension for Safari called ClickToFlash gives the opportunity to capture MPEG-4 file too.

To capture the video in mac, press the "Command," "Option" and "A" keys to open the list currently running in Safari. After this just double click and download to your drive.

Internet Download Manager is the third party software to capture video for Mozilla Firefox. But its Mac capable version is not available yet.
