I have iPhone 4 and I just want to ask something about it. If I lost my iPhone, will I be able to locate it if there is a 3G service available to the place where my iPhone will be? Or will this feature only work when there is a Wi-Fi connection on the area? Can someone please tell me? Thanks.
You can locate your lost iPhone 4 using Wi-Fi signals. There are programs like iHound which can grant you access for online cell phone tracking using GPS and Wifi signals.
You can also locate your lost iPhone by GPS by setting up your MobileMe account on your iPhone. To set this feature up, first tap on the "Settings" option, select the option "Mail, Contacts, Calendars", and then select the option "Add Account." Once done press on "MobileMe" and then follow the on-screen guidelines provided.
When you lose your iPhone, you should first contact your wireless service provider as soon as possible.
This will permit your provider to immediately shut off admission to your iPhone calling features.
