Hi experts,

Due to reasons of privacy I want to use free proxy server to hide IP to a remote user , can you inform about the reliability of my idea.

Yes you can hide your IP address by using proxy server. You can either use website based proxy or browser based proxy. Both of them are very successful of hiding your IP to a remote user. It's just that the request that you make from your system is now being made by the proxy server on your behalf.

You can use https://www.hidemyass.com/en-us/index or http://proxify.com to obtain this.

Yes, that’s one good idea to hide your actual IP address and there are lots of free proxies on the web. If you are using the Opera browser, you can use an extension called SurfEasy Proxy. It is a proxy extension for the Opera web browser developed by Opera.

It allows you to mask your real IP address and geographic location and you can appear to be in the United States or some other dozen countries. It also allows you to avoid being tracked and browse the internet anonymously. It is also a great way to access websites that are blocked in your country.

Since it is an extension installed on the browser, it bypasses any firewalls you may have allowing you to browse the internet without limits. Another way to use a proxy on your browser without installing a plug-in or extension is to use public proxies such as these from Public Proxy Servers.
