A dashboard is used to collect, study and share our data with others; thus giving us a valuable insight into our business. A dashboard can be utilized by employees to share their work progress with co-workers. Apart from this, it also gives us a chance to scrutinize and closely examine our work. Using dashboard saves time and increases efficiency. The steps for creating a dashboard in excel are as follows:

1. At first, you need to import the raw data into your excel spreadsheet. You can analyze and modify this data according to your requirement using various excel mathematical operations like sumif, offset, count, etc.

2. The next step is to create a separate tab for dashboard operations. Now you need to import some of the raw data to your dashboard tab which you think is necessary for a dashboard. Store the data is separate columns.

3. Now you have to go to the insert option present in the home tab and click on insert charts. Then you need to select the chart which you think would be perfect for the presentation.

4. You can also add various legend entries, chart title, axis title from the Add Chart Element option present under present in the design tab.
