What do you think of the Trend Platinum Anti Virus? Is Trend Platinum the best anti virus software? For the existing users of Trend Platinum, can you compare Trend Platinum with other anti virus softwares? Can you state the advantages and the strongest points of Trend Platinum over the other anti virus? What is the main and unique feature of Trend Platinum which cannot be seen with other antivirus? Trend platinum antivirus is an okay antivirus, it’s not the best, but opinions differ depending on what you want an antivirus to do for you i.e. do you want a basic antivirus or do you want more out of it?! Compared to other antivirus software’s it is pretty much standard
Here are my pro’s, rich in features e.g. firewall booster, easy to use interface ,good customer service/support, minimal system impact in terms of performance and works mostly in the background (non-intrusive)
The Con’s, compared to other software antivirus it’s not as pro-active and takes longer completing virus scans.it is also almost impossible to install on a computer with viruses.

   You might be referring to the Trend Micro Titanium Antivirus +, It is an acceptable anti virus software and did not get the best review. This antivirus has a cloud environment embedded which gathers data on new malware or viruses and alerts all users with the same copy of the software. It can detect base on behavior not solely by signature database.
  Trend Micro is known to develop software that eats a lot of CPU cache and may affect the performance of the computer. However, more users tend to choose Trend Micro for its user friendly environment. With the cloud technology this can add more market for Trend Micro since this detect new virus real time.
  It has a suite that has all necessary add ons built in Anti- Malware, Anti-Phishing and the like. It also got a 100% score on Protection. Compared to anti viruses available in the market the stand out however, is BitDefender Antivirus Plus cheaper price more features. You can make your choices wider and check other options.

Trend is an antivirus with acceptable performance but with the high competition in the market, the best antivirus depends on the situation at hand. The pros of Trend Platinum are:
It protects against viruses, spyware as well as other malware such as intruders, keyloggers, operating system exploits and malicious cookies.
It can also detect another fake antivirus software
It prevents from browsing websites that are not safe as well as preventing insecure downloads.
In addition it combines signature based and real time protection.
