My PC is password protected. Sometimes my Windows XP asks for password two times to complete its start up. Why is it happening like that?

Please suggest.

I think you install some password protected software in the start, that got your windows login password. You should go to startup setting, and uncheck necessary program that run in start time of windows.

Try it and update me about this matter.

Thanks.

Hi Alvarado.

This problem happens when any other program of your computer uses your password. Check out if any of your programs uses your password. If it does, then re-install that program. Or there is another way to solve this problem. Follow the steps given below:

1) Click on your start menu.

2) Open your control panel.

3) Click on power option and change the password set-up.

Your problem will be solved now.

Hi dear,

This is not a major problem. It is due to carelessness. Be very careful of caps lock while typing your password. Sometimes, we choose a password in lower case, but while typing, we press the caps lock key and type. As a result, the computer says "wrong password". Just keep calm and remember the exact case of the password that you have chosen for Windows startup. Type it with care. Thanks.
