Hello,

I have some serious problem using XenApp. When I started to use this app on form it said “Notepad” failed to start”. I got the following error message. I tried again to resolve this matter but the server is not able to start this application.  Any help would be appreciated.

Error Message: “Notepad” failed to start. The Citrix server is unable to process your request to start this published application at this time. Please try again later. If the problem persists, contact your administrator.

When you install the Xenapp application and the initialization of the application fails, causing the error pointed at the image, what is happening is that the complement, specially designed to work offline, is causing conflicts or is probably broken. In that case you can solve the problem in few simple steps. The first thing to do is that you should take off the rollup pack that is on the server, then you can uninstall the complement to work offline (plug-in). Once you have those two things done, install again the rollup pack and the complement (offline plug-in).

When those steps are done you can start the application and this will run normally.

One thing I will definitely share in order to resolve this issue. During the process of installation make sure the logons are enabled on the Citrix Servers. Cross check the servers those were selected “Enable Controller and Session-host modes”.
