Hello Elise,

To be able to allow your neighbor to have access to your broadband then the distance factor is something that you should consider. If your neighbor happens to be far away from you, then the signal will be too slow and they will not be able to successfully connect to your WiFi. They will require a router to boost the signal strength on the other end.

But if your neighbor is located at a place not far away from you then you just to configure her computer with the right network settings of the WiFi that you are using and she will be able to access the network.

Thanks Lee Hung, I was able to connect to my neighbors' WiFi by going to a place nearer to him.

I also asked the neighbor the router he is using, and I searched what is its coverage area ( on how many meters).

Thank you.
