Hi guys,

The problem is with my installed Norton Anti-Virus.

It is frequently throwing an error message. It says, "Norton AntiVirus Auto-Protect could not continue.

Please run LiveUpdate or reinstall Norton AntiVirus and restart. (Code: 10)".

I ran live update and restarted my system. I also reinstalled Norton but no result.

Have you any idea?

Please help me to solve the problem.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Jiim,

What is your operating system?

Usually the Norton Anti-Virus may not be compatible with OS X 10.6 but if you are using Mac then just try this link.

Upgrading to the recent version will usually fix the problem.

If you are still getting the same error then please try this link to get help directly from Norton

Jiim,

Thank you for your inquiry.

The error message you are receiving is caused by some Norton files that are lingering on your system.

You must go into your "User>Library>Preferences folder and delete any references to symantec or Norton.

This should help to alleviate your problem.
