Problem installing HP Officejet 7200

Hello, I use Dell inspiron 15. I was trying to install HP Officejet 7200 series all in one software in my laptop.

After putting the disk the installation starts. But after sometime it says that it cannot install because the user is not the administrator.

But I am the only user of my laptop and the account has all the administrative rights.

I have restarted the system but same problem occurs.

Please help me.

Problem installing HP Officejet 7200

Hi Power_puff,

I think you problem is fairly simple, here is what you need to do to get this working:

1) Instead of letting the disk autorun with the current user you have to go to My Computer

2) Find the letter of your CD-ROM (E: for example)

3) Right click it and choose Open

4) Now you have to find the Install.exe or Setup.exe

5) Right click it and choose Run As Administrator then click yes wwhen asked for the permission and thats it.

Problem installing HP Officejet 7200

Hi Power_puff,

If you already have administrative rights and you are still experiencing problems installing the software, there could be something wrong with the software itself.

Try downloading the HP OfficeJet 7200 All-in-one software from HP’s main website here:

Make sure you select the correct operating system.

Also, don’t forget to run the installation file as Administrator.

To do this, just right-click on the downloaded installation file and select “Run as Administrator”.
