''Power Policy Manager is unable to reserve hibernate''

''The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another application''

I don't have any about these guys, I need your help. I am using Windows XP.

Hello,

Try this solution; go to your C:/Drive then open the tools and select folder options. Marked the radio option Show hidden files and folders and ensure it's enabled. Below then is the hide protected operating system files (recommended) ensure this is also enabled. Reset them after a few minutes after hibernation is working. Back to your C:/Drive, on its windows find hiberfil file, remove this one. It's possible that hibernation system file has been separated from the text document. When windows will read it another hiberfil.sys file will be produced. from the C:/Drive right click it, select new and make another text document naming it hiberfile.sys and hit enter. Make sure that the hiberfil text document and the hiberfil should be there. If it's not, exit with the C:/Drive and open it again. If by instances it still don't show up, do the process all over again and create new text document. After then, open up start menu then click the settings and select control panel. Choose then power options and enable hibernation. Good luck with it.

Try this one friend,

Go to C:Drive and open the tools icon and select the options of Folder.

From the radio option enable the Show hidden files and folders.

From the C:Drive search for the file hiberfil with a size of 1gb and delete this file.

After deleting it, go back again at the window of C:Drive. From there go to New folder and make or create a new file that should be named as hiberfile.sys then hit enter tab.

Upon the creation of new hiberfile.sys go back to the start menu, hit the settings option and select from the menu the control panel and choose to open the power option. And there it is, enable hibernation. Hope you got it.

Hello dear,

Hibernation is a very useful tool on Windows XP and all later systems, but this option is disabled on all systems when installing al new operating system. You can enable this option only if you have 500 MB of free space on drive C.

If you do not have this space, you cannot enable this option, so check for this space first. Delete some files and try again. Thanks.
