Hi Gurus,
I recently upgraded my OS to Leopard but then I got this error message while deleting my emails; Please see screenshot below.Â
42 messages could not be moved to the mailbox "Deleted Messages – inluminent"
The IMAP command "UID COPY" (to Deleted
Messages) failed for the mailbox "INBOX" with server
error: Error in IMAP command received by server.
                                   OK
Now, what I did was to delete the same emails from my iPhone which was just a work around since I couldn’t delete from my Mac.Â
Anyway, can anyone help me get rid of the error?Â
Thanks.

Problem in deleting emails in my Mac
Hi Vic,
This problem occurs when you upgrade to Leopard. This is usually happens to IMAP account settings when you upgrade your OS to Leopard.
1. First, go to Preferences, select Accounts, choose Mailbox Behaviors and Trash.
Â
2. After the Trash option display, you will see two check box. The first check box contains, "Move deleted messages to the Trash mailbox" and the second check box contains, "Store deleted messages on the server", the second check box should not be check so uncheck it. This will resolved your problem.
Â
Before, other OS X/ 5 does not have both check box checked so Leopard enable both settings that is why the problem regarding the deletion of messages occur. Hope it helps you.
