Hello Everyone,

I am using poweriso 4.4 and 4.5 on my system.

Few days the program worked fine but recently I am having some problem and it shows an error message “PowerIso Virtual Drive is not Installed correctly please reinstall it”.

I attempted to uninstall and re-installed it but nothing happened.

Can someone help me fix this error?

Thank you in Advance.

So your problem is that it stopped working after using it for sometime and getting an error. If that’s the case I have two solutions for you.

1. Uninstall it again, remove all the virtual devices, disable UAC from control panel. But this time after you have successfully uninstalled you need to remove all the registry entries by using a free software called ccleaner. You can download it here http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner. After you are done install and try to run it again.

2. If it still does not work I recommend using another similar tool called Daemon Tools Lite. It has the same functions, supports 4 virtual devices, much simpler to use, and best of all it’s free!

Download link for daemon tools – https://www.daemon-tools.cc/eng/products/dtLite

Hope this helps! 🙂

The PowerISO Virtual Drive that your program is referring to is a kind of virtual drive used by disc images like ISO files. With a virtual drive, you can mount an ISO image on your computer and access its contents as if it was a real CD or DVD disc inserted into an optical drive.

This way, you don’t need to burn the ISO file to a blank disc in order to access its contents. You access its contents virtually simulating an actual optical drive. If re-installing doesn’t fix the problem, there are probably some leftovers when you uninstall the program that cause the virtual drive to fail when installing it back. If you’ve already uninstalled PowerISO, try installing it back.

Next, once PowerISO is installed back, download and install Revo Uninstaller Freeware. Unpack “TechyV-download_9.7z” with 7-Zip. Use the supplied password to unpack. Once Revo Uninstaller is installed, run it then use it to uninstall PowerISO. This ensures that all components of PowerISO will be removed leaving no leftovers. After this, download and install the latest CCleaner from CCleaner Free Download.

Once installed, run CCleaner and clean your system. Next, restart your computer. After booting, install PowerISO back or better yet, download and install the latest version from PowerISO All in One Solution. It supports Windows 98, Windows Millennium, Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10.

It requires Intel Pentium 166 MHz or faster processor, 64 MB RAM, and 10 MB free hard drive space. After this, you should not receive any error on the PowerISO virtual drive. If it does throw another error on the virtual drive, you probably need to reinstall Microsoft Windows. There are probably some damaged or corrupt registry entries or system files causing the virtual drive to fail.

To register CCleaner, download CCleaner Registration Codes and unpack “TechyV-download_2.7z” with 7-Zip. Use the supplied password to unpack. Open “license-keys_readme.txt” with Notepad and follow the instructions to register CCleaner.
