Possibility of tracing an iPhone by IMEI

Hello everyone,

I lost my iPhone a few weeks ago and I had no iCloud account, and I had not enabled the option “Find my iPhone”. I only have the IMEI and am wondering if it could be useful in finding my phone. Has anyone tried to track iPhone by IMEI?

Possibility of tracing an iPhone by IMEI

You cannot track a stolen iPhone solely through the IMEI. If you didn't have an app such as Find My Phone or similar and considering you had no iCloud account, I'm afraid the only possibility now is to contact your carrier in hopes of blocking the service and the device. You should also change your iTunes password.

Possibility of tracing an iPhone by IMEI

I'm sorry but as of now there is no way you can track your iPhone just by using the IMEI. The IMEI or International Mobile Equipment Identity is a unique number provided to every mobile phone. The only thing you can do now is to contact your network provider, let them know you lost your phone, tell them to block it using the IMEI.
