Hi,

My 8GB dual layer DVD is incompatible with my DVD player. I need to burn an ISO 8GB to 4GB DVD, but I don't know the details about how to do this.

Can anyone please help?

Hi,

You have to follow following steps

Step 1: Kindly Download DVD Shrink.

Step 2: Install DVD Shrink.

Step 3: By Clicking on Open Disc option Select Source DVD9. It will take some time for analysis.

Step 4: By clicking at the full Disc option select the main menu, menus and click back.

Step 5: For reducing the size click the DTS option.

Step 6: For backup select the target drive (Hard Drive). Kindly don’t select DVD5 for burning

Step 7: This will take half an hour to shrink. Use Nero Software to burn DVD 5. Try to burn process at 8x or 6x speed and it will be done.

Regards,

JK

Hi,

Burning an ISO 8GB to 4GB when your dual layer DVD is incompatible isn’t difficult. There are plenty of conversion utilities available for free. Feel free to follow the steps below to download one of these conversion utilities.

Download a copy of DVDShrink which is freely available on softpedia. After inserting the dual layer DVD into the computer, install DVDShrink.

  • Select the drive which contains the DVD. It can be done by selecting the ‘Open Disc’ option.

  • Then you can drag the slider until it fits to the output file size, in order to increase the compression amount. It’s located under the ‘Compression Settings’ tab.

  • In order to start the ripping, go to the main menu and click, “Backup Disc”.

Download a copy of Amok DVD Shrinker from amok. Follow the previous path when inserting.

  • Select the DVD drive from the “…” button next to the “Source Path” field and also select a location to save the ripped DVD.

  • Then you can drag the slider in order to set the output size. It can be found next to the “Target Size” field.

  • To encode, click “Transfer”.

Download a copy of HandBrake form handbrake and follow the previous path in installing.

  • Select the DVD drive from the ‘Source’ option.

  • In order to begin the conversion, click “Start”.
