Photoshop freezes at start up when developers’ names are shown

It worked fine until this morning, when I tried to open an art my friend emailed me. Since then it just freezes at the welcome screen. What could be the problem? You help is appreciated.

Photoshop freezes at start up when developers’ names are shown

Adobe Photoshop doesn’t start right and freezes during initialization. Usually, this problem can easily be fixed by just uninstalling and then reinstalling the affected application.

But since you said that the problem started when you tried opening an art file coming from a friend by email, you might want to check your computer for virus. Update your antivirus then run a full system scan on your computer.

If the scan did not find anything, try uninstalling Adobe Photoshop and then install it back to fix any corrupted files in the installation and to restore the settings back to default.

Open Adobe Photoshop again and see if it works now. You may also try checking your computer for any possible errors.
