Hi there,

So, this error appeared without a reason. I tried to open a picture and this appeared. My Photoshop is working just fine, no settings were changed, Paint is working just fine, everything is working just fine in my PC. Can anyone tell me please what this error means ? What happened ?

Thank you experts !

Microsoft requires that you now use Paint as your default graphics program. Click Ok to make the necessary changes now.

I’m not sure if your Adobe Photoshop is really working because the error will not appear if there is no problem with the application. Try opening Adobe Photoshop and open an old image file on your hard drive. If there is a problem with the program, try reinstalling it. Uninstall Adobe Photoshop, restart your computer, and then install it back.

You should be able to use Adobe Photoshop after this. If you want to associate a file with Microsoft Paint, right-click on the file, point your mouse to Open With then select Choose Program. See image.

Even if you see Microsoft Paint above the Choose Program option, don’t click it because it will not associate the file. It will just open the file but will not associate it. In Open With screen, click Paint to select and then check “Always use the selected program to open this kind of file”. Click OK and Microsoft Paint will open the file and associate it. See image.
