Outlook PST cannot be accessed

Hello tech experts,

I am getting this below error message often and it’s very annoying to me. So clearing all the mails immediately and not keeping any documents in the mail. I am not a technical person, so I am scared to fix the problem. How to increase the size without disturbing the data in the outlook? Please help me. Your help is appreciated. Thanks.

Outlook PST cannot be accessed

The maximum size of the PST file is between 20GB & 50GB, depending on the version of outlook is being used. If you want to increase the size then you have to do that from registry. You can follow the instructions provided from Microsoft support

 Alternatively, you may try to compact the PST file as this will reduce the size of the PST files

Go to Tools -> Account Settings -> Data Files tab, double click on the data file ->, click on the Compact Now button  and press OK.

 You may also create a new PST file as well File-> Data File Management-> Open Data Files Tab-> click Add and create a new outlook data file.
