Hi All,

Outlook 2003 how can I get the updated GAL

I make changes on my Active directory say fields on mobile number and address.

When I check the exact persons name in outlook I cannot see them updated even after 2 days.

How can we force sync outlook to AD/Exchange?

Outlook 2003 how can I get the updated GAL

To solve this issue of yours, you should restore your Offline Address Book every now and then.

And make sure that you’re running the Outlook 2003 under cached mode.

If you are running under cache mode, Global Address List, will always be updated in every 24 hours.

You can force to sync Outlook by going “Tools” main menu options, input or position this following “Send and Receive” and then “Download Address Book”

Once you see the dialogue box, unmark the“Download changes since last send/receive”

Check carefully if you choose “Full Details” and to set the address book, choose “Global Address List” then press “Ok”

The Send/Receive box will now display, this will automatically your data, or address.

You can also try this Registry Parameter. Set this registry

HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftOffice11.0OutlookCached Mode

In the Parameter DownloadOAB input: REG_DWORD
