Is there other mechanisms used rather than outlook tasks sub-tasks, please inform?

If there is something wrong with the way Microsoft Office Outlook works, try restarting your computer then try it again. See if there is a change after rebooting the system. If still nothing happened, try reinstalling the application to fix any corrupted files in your copy. Uninstall Microsoft Office Outlook then restart your computer when asked. If it is part of the Microsoft Office package installed on your machine, remove only this feature and leave the rest of the applications installed.

After booting, check your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. For a much thorough diagnostics test on your machine, use disk utility applications like Norton Utilities, PC Tools Performance Toolkit, or Norton SystemWorks. Install the application again then check if this fixes the problem.
