Old technology still in operation.

In 1948 IBM first introduced a machine which is not completely like a computer but it is a tabulating machine. This machine still in operation. It can be programmed and able to  perform modern database operation. It is possible to say what the model of this machine?

Mamum16, its very true what you say that there is still traces of the old model computer. Indeed time has really changed as well as things have developed till the evolution of the touchscreen and the ipads. The old model of the machine was known as Selective Sequence Electronic Calculator. It was about 60 feet long and 30 feet wide. It occupied about 180 feet.Th

Tabulating machines started mid 1800 the machine was developed to help process data us census.. Electromechanical machine was invited by Hollerith but some tabulating machines now are like the modern computer that we're using .Some you can check in museums and classic restorations and collectors that have tabulated machines that still work..
