Hi there Violet M Maldonado,

The error you're getting is actually a new feature of your OS that is trying to protect your system from any suspicious applications. Many of applications don't have a developer signature and your system refuses to open and (or) install them to protect you.

The easiest work around is not to double click on the icon, but to right click and choose the option 'Open'. That will bring out another screen, this time out with an error, but the warning asking you if you'd like to open the file anyway or not. Just click on 'Open' and it should work.

The second solution is to open your System Preferences, click the Privacy & Security icon and under the General tab – Allow applications check the option Anywhere. That way you will tell your system that it's ok to run the applications from the unknown developers.

General tab - Allow applications check the option Anywhere

Best regards,
Drake Vivian
