Numerous Issues after an Error in HP Printer

My problem is I cannot access some of my program installed in my computer. Here is what happened. My Gateway laptop is running Windows XP Professional SP3 32-Bit with Internet Explorer 8. I have HP printer software installed in it too. My HP printer got an error while I was printing something and it said something like: “DJ_SF: MARKET RESEARCH STATUS.”  After that error popped up, I can still use the printer. But later on, after a couple of days, I was trying to access my Windows Media Player 11 but I could not get into it. I also could not get into System Restore and other programs. And my toolbar are gone from my Google Chrome browser. I tried downloading the toolbar again, but I cannot download it. I cannot get into Hotmail but I can access Gmail with no problem. I tried using MSTF fix-it but it didn’t help. Please I need some suggestions from the experts. Thanks a lot.

Those are a whole lot of problems that you are having, and it seems that close to every application that you have installed is having problems and that could be a problem with the operating system. Since you have already tried executing system restore and it did not help solve the problem, I will suggest that you just do a clean installation of the operating system to fix any bugs in it that may be causing the problems.

  • Get the windows XP installation CD.
  • And then insert it into the DVD drive on your computer, and then
  • Restart the computer.
  • The installation will begin.
  • Just follow each step keenly and make sure that you do not omit anything.
  • When the installation is complete be sure to install the device drivers.
