I installed both R-Portable and Notepad++ Portable. When trying to install NppToR, specifically during step “3. Run NppToR.exe” I have this error. I have followed all the standard steps and it seems like I did something wrong. Does anyone have an idea about this error ? What I did wrong ?

The NppToR: R is a plug-in for Notepad++ and gives the R auto-completion capability and code passing between the applications. To make sure you are using the latest version, download Notepad++ 6.6.3. It supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8. Since I think you are using Windows Vista, there should be no problem installing the latest version.

Once it is downloaded, uninstall the existing application as well as NppToR: R. After that, install Notepad++ 6.6.3 that you just downloaded and then open it. Check if the application works perfectly. If there’s no problem, close Notepad++ then install NppToR: R back. Start Notepad++ again and see what happens. If the error appears again, try running Notepad++ and NppToR: R as administrator.

Right-click Notepad++ and then select Properties. Select Compatibility tab and then check “Run this program as an administrator” then click OK. After this, repeat the same steps on NppToR: R. Once it is finished, start Notepad++ again and see if it works. If you want to download the plug-in again, visit NppToR: R in Notepad++.
