Norton 360 Error when computer boots

Hi,

I am using Windows 8 and I installed Norton antivirus but since then whenever my computer boots I get an error from Norton as shown below. Please assist because I do not want to uninstall Norton due to virus threats.

An error has occurred with Norton 360

Norton 360 Error when computer boots

Hello Justine, it seems like a good trouble with your Norton product.

Norton is one of the best antiviruses in the world. Norton 360 comes with all the features including PC tune-up utility.

The error comes up with a program called RapidBoot which comes with Lenovo computers. If you are using this, please be sure that you have got the latest version of RapidBoot.

Also, try the following techniques:

1.       Using Norton Power Eraser:

Download it from this page and run it. It will do a rootkit scan and also a PC scan for tough malwares.

2.       Download and install Norton Removal Tool. It will uninstall all your Symantec product. Then re-install Norton 360.

Norton 360 Error when computer boots

Hi Justine

This error is usually in start up and you must turn it off. In start up Norton is trying to make updates.

This can be fix without removing of Norton. Just follow this simple steps.

Click start up button, click run, type msconfig, click start up uncheck Norton update.exe.
