this is a cool app and can anybody tell me if this is available in android? How does this one work?

AppleTalk is indeed a great app developed by apple. This is a suite for networking protocols developed for Mac Computers. There are a lot of features of AppleTalk.
One of which is the ability to connect local area networks with no prior setup needed from a centralized router or any server. this works by automatically assigning an address with updated name space that configures any required inter-networking router. it is just like a plug and play system.

It is not an application that you can just install on your Android Smartphone. AppleTalk was developed by Apple Inc. as a proprietary suite of networking protocols for Macintosh computers. It includes several features that allow the computer to be connected to a local area network without the need of further setting it up.
When two Mac computers are connected that are both equipped with AppleTalk, IP addresses will automatically be assigned, the distributed namespace will be updated, and configure any needed inter-networking routing. It was released in 1985 for the original Macintosh and has become the chief protocol used by Apple devices from 1980s to the 90s.
When TCP/IP emerged during the 1990s, AppleTalk became unsupported together with the release of Mac OS X 10.6 in 2009. In 1989, a major improvement in the design was released and was called AppleTalk Phase II. Even if they called the second release as Phase II, they never called the original AppleTalk version as Phase I.
This time local area networks can now handle more than 255 nodes and the physical networks were no longer associated with zones.
