New HP Printer Software Not Compatible with Mac

I am attempting to install the HP software on my Mac PC with OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion. The installer came from my printer which I recently bought. But I am getting a compatibility issue during the installation and I cannot continue. How can I fix this? Attached below is the error message I encountered. I hope someone can help me. I don't have other PC to use this new printer and I need to install this on Mac only.

This software is supported on Mac OS X v10.6 – v10.7. Please check www.hp.com/support for more information.

New HP Printer Software Not Compatible with Mac

Your best option in this case, since you did not mention the model of your printer, is to visit the HP official website and see if that model has an available driver that supports Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion. In case you have a hard time finding the right version of the driver for your Mac OS X version, you can download HP Printer Drivers 2.16.1 for Mac.

This version of the HP printer drivers supports Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, Mac OS X 10.7 Lion, and Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion. Besides downloading the driver directly using your web browser, you can also download it by updating your operating system and this is the easiest way you can get it.

To try this method, click on the Apple menu on your desktop and select Software Update. The next screen will display the available updates you can install. The result should also display the HP driver you can download. Click Install to install the updates and then restart your computer to finish updating your system.
