I'm using an HP ENVY 17-3090nr 3D Edition. I just installed a Windows 7 OS on it. It has no back up or any recovery. I am installing all the drivers but I keep getting an error. It says, 'The Hardware Detected is Not Supported by this IDT Software Package'. It's for my Beats Audio software. I tried updating everything in the Device Manager but the result is still the same. How can I resolve this?

The HP ENVY 17-3090NR 3D Edition notebook ships with 64-bit Microsoft Windows 7. Since the supported operating system is 64-bit and since you said you have a problem installing the soundcard, make sure all your drivers are available in 64-bit. Unfortunately, your laptop only supports 64-bit Windows 7 or Windows 8. It doesn’t support Windows Vista and earlier operating systems.

Since installing the driver for your soundcard is giving you a headache, download and install this driver instead: IDT High-Definition [HD] Audio Driver. It requires 64-bit Microsoft Windows 7. Also, since you are using HP ENVY 17-3090NR 3D Edition notebook PC, you probably want to visit AC Power Cord Safety Recall and Replacement Program which was announced on August 26, 2014.

This is a worldwide product recall from HP. The AC power cords that were shipped with the HP products sold from September 2010 until June 2012 have the possibility to overheat that might cause fire and burn hazard. The affected AC power cord has the “LS-15” mark at the end of the cord. See image.

If you don’t have this mark on your AC power cord then your computer is not affected. To download other drivers for your laptop, visit HP ENVY 17-3090NR 3D Edition Drivers.
