Need help to track project time for my home-based job

I am working at home and is paid hourly. I need to track the number of hours I have worked and I need to do it efficiently both for me and my client. I need to track project time and do it daily. Is there a program or software that can be downloaded for that? I just don't want to be lost in tracking the time I have worked.
