Need Help On Buying an New Graphic Card?

I've been thinking about buying a new graphics card lately and I'm still a little lost. Basically:

I found GTX 460 OC 1280Mb 256Bit DDR5 NVidia PCI manufactured by Colorful for $250

Another shop which sells HD 6950 Cayman 2Gb 256Bit DDR5 Ati Radeon PCI manufactured by Digital Alliance for $300

or HD 6950 1Gb 256Bit Mini DP DDR5 HDMI Dual DVI (HD-695X-ZDFC) Ati Radeon PCI Exp.manufactured by XFX For $225

Would it be a good idea to go for the cheaper one? Do brand names really matter?

Any tips?

Which is quite irrelevant, but does a better graphic card result in faster rendering for design?

Thanks for the answer

It is my believe that whenever buy, buy something really special. I mean a good quality product.

So my recommendation will be to buy a graphic card which has more features even if it is costly.

Brand name also plays an important role. NVIDIA graphic cards are known to be the best ones. AMD and Intel are the other ones who offer good quality graphic cards.
