Hi all,
I am set in my ways and using an old version of Audition with Windows 7 which is fine, apart from the DX plugins.Â
None of them seem to work, see the screenshots for errors
Until I restart the program Audition is unstable, everything else seems fine… is this just a compatibility issue because it is an older version?
If I were to upgrade to version 3.0 would that be compatible with my computer?
This happens with all DirectX plugins.Â

        Yup, the problem might be compatibility issue. Since you are using windows 7, it has compatibility issue especially if you are using very old software/application. You need to upgrade Audition at least version 3.0. To update programs sometimes fixed error with regards to using older version of programs. If you already update and the error still there, try to check if you have enough RAM of computer memory to perform the program. To check that, Open Task manager by pressing CTRL+ALT DELETE then you will see amount of memory your computer currently using at the status bar.  If you are running out of memory you cannot really process programs that required higher memory when running.

The best way to resolve that issue will be to update the app to its latest version because it seems the one you are using right now has got some bugs. If the program says it is unstable even after the update then it is more likely an error to do with compatibility. You will therefore need to find a compatible version.
