MS Word crashes on insertion of symbols

I am using Microsoft Word 2013 for my project review.I am getting a problem that while Inserting a symbol into a Word document (from Insert/Symbol) will cause Word to crash.There is also another issue i.e.Inserting bullets and numbering into a Word document will cause Word to crash.Anyone knows about this issue please help.

MS Word crashes on insertion of symbols

Hi Adamswhitley,

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing this problem. This indicates that there is a problem with the printer driver. You simply need to exit Outlook and press CTRL+ALT+DEL. This opens the Window Task Manager. If there are stalled instances of word running, close them. Restart your computer and then try using MS Word again. If the problem persists, contact  Microsoft Support for further assistance.
