Missing music files in iPhone 4 after iOS 5 upgrade

I have upgraded my iPhone 4 into iOS 5 just the other day. However, after upgrading, I noticed that most of the album artworks in my phone were missing. It bothered me a lot and I wonder what I did wrong in iTunes. So I tried deleting an artwork from a song, then put it back but still it didn't work. Worse, all of my songs mounted in my iPhone before they disappeared, even in iTunes. I can only see them in the Library. Apparently all of my songs have an icon with "!" beside them and I cannot locate them anymore. One more thing, the capacity bar shows that 5 GB size of audio is still used. What could possibly have happened? How will I be able to retrieve my songs? Help me please.

Hi Jerwayne,

Did you update or upgrade your iPhone with the same PC that you are using? Because if you have upgrade it on different PC, it will surely be deleted. You should also check sync music box under the itunes music tab . I think there are ways to be able to recover the lost applications after you upgrade your iOS. You can just sync it with iTunes again or download it manually from application store. FOr more information, I suggest you to visit this link.

Hello Jerwayne,

That’s a common matter of losing data after upgrading.

To get your missing file you need to connect your iPhone to iTunes and click “Restore”. By restoring with this you will loss all of your data having in your phone and get all backup file.

If you don’t want to lose your files having now in your iPhone, you need to restore the backup data manually. For this, firstly you need to get iPhone restoring tool which can be found here:
