Hi experts,

Mainly I doubt about the "missing glyph" error and what it refers to as well as what the insinuations of this error. In so far as I can make out that the help file never point out it. Also I have a few PDFs which are the main reason for this error message when I am trying to import into Indesign.

The pages which create this error, I think they have been approved with a PDF editor but all the Acrobat reports fonts are subsisted and embedded. However a third-party preflight program takes everything is satisfactory too.

I need to know am I safe to take no notice of these errors?

Please help.

Thanks.

Missing Glyph” Error – Indesign Software

The "Missing Glyph" error kind of gets missing glyphs in PDF documents. In the event that you have glyphs that are not available in your document then the following is how it will look:

Missing Glyph Error

From the image above, you can reckon that Indesign can only be able to make you know of the error with the highlighted pink and as a temporary case it will put the font of the missing image which could be of any shape, for instance a question mark, rectangle or it could be just an empty space.

But when you need the character, what you will have to do is just change its font to another font that does not have the missing ones.
