Missing Copy all items on cd

I inserted a SD Card from my Sony Cyber shot Digicam to view my photos in My Picture. I will copy all of it on a CD.

But the selection copy all items to CD under the Picture Task on the left side of My Picture window is gone.

I am running a Windows XP, and I normally do a copy when my SD Card is full. Is this a virus?

How can I recover it and add it to the Picture Tasks on My Picture again.

Help please.

The missing link is one of Windows XP special feature that will help its users to burn or copy all the pictures easily. Especially if we don’t have a premium copy of any third-party software or application that is used for burning. (e.g. Nero)

  • Click on Start then locate My Computer
  • My Computer window will open; locate the CD/DVD Drive. Normally it is on Drive D or E.
  • Right-click the selected drive then go to Properties.
  •  Click the Recording Tab
  • Under the Desktop CD Recording, check the box next to Enable CD recording on this drive.
  • Go back to My Pictures, the Copy all items to CD is already there.

  • If Copy all items to CD option is still missing, check the optical drive if it’s working properly or go to Device Manager by clicking on Start then Run, type devmgmt.msc on the box then click OK. Expand the DVD/CD-ROM Drives and check if there is a yellow exclamation point beside it. You might need to update or re-install your driver for it.

Your CD/DVD RW have disable the recording option which is use by windows to copy files directly to CD. Also this is also caused by dysfunctional DVD/CD RW device. Right click device manager and select properties and select device manager. Now locate your CD/DVD RW drivers.

Option 1.Right click on your CD/DVD RW drivers and select properties. Click recording tab and check the option enable CD recording on this drive.

Option 2. If you see a yellow exclamatory mark right before your CD/DVD RW driver, probably your CD/DVD RW is not functioning properly. To fix this, simply uninstall the driver, then click Action and select scan for hardware changes. Also you can reinstall your CD/DVD RW using the latest drivers from the manufacturers website.
