Mio Alpha was unable to connect to my phone via bluetooth

My Mio Alpha was unable to connect to my Samsung phone via Bluetooth. I have tried everything I can think of to get this to work.  Is this a common issue, user error, or both? I would appreciate any suggestions or help. I am not due for a new phone for another year so getting a new phone isn't an option right now. Thank you!

Mio Alpha was unable to connect to my phone via bluetooth

• First of all, verify whether the Bluetooth settings are properly turned on in both the devices and is properly detectable, by placing them close to each other.
• Also check for any system or drive updates and install them if available.
• Confirm the proper connection of the Bluetooth adapters used.
