The Office 365 is a Microsoft’s cloud service that is expected to drive the business demand for Microsoft Surface as well as  Windows 8 tablet sales.

The evidence to the above case can be seen in the standardization of the students on Samsung Windows 8 tablets as well as the ultrabooks at Seton Hall University. The reason why this is done is due to the tight integration windows 8 has with the office 365, and it will be very suitable for students.

It comes pre-installed with Microsoft Windows 8.1 measuring 10.52 x 7.36 x 0.34 inches and weighs 1.4 pounds. It has an IPS LCD display at 1920 x 1280 pixels screen resolution. It runs on Intel Atom x7-Z8700 1.6 GHz processor, 4 GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics GPU, and 128 GB SSD storage.

It has Bluetooth 4.0, micro HDMI, microUSB, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/c 2.4GHz/5GHz, one USB 3.0 port, and microSD. The front-facing camera supports 3.5 megapixels and the rear-facing camera supports 8 megapixels. Standard battery rundown time is about 9 hours 52 minutes. It offers 1-year limited hardware warranty. For the pros, it is lightweight with full HD display with touch and pen support.

The new Intel Atom x7-Z8700 processor offers better performance unlike other Atom-based devices. It provided long battery life during the tests and offers better-than-average webcam and speakers. The pre-installed operating system is a full version of Microsoft Windows 8.1 which includes free one year subscription of Microsoft OneDrive and Microsoft Office. For the cons, the Surface Pen and the Type Cover are sold individually.

Atom processor can’t compete with Intel Core CPUs. The built-in kickstand provides limited adjustability and the power connector is bulky and loose.
