Hello,

I am new at using Microsoft Outlook express and facing some difficulties in using it.

When I try to connect it to the server, the server terminates the connection and gives me the following error:

The error reads as:

Some errors occurred while processing the requested tasks. Please review the list of errors below for more details.

An unknown error has occurred Subject 'lest'. Account 'pop.gmail.com', Server. 'smtp.gmail.com',Protocot SMIP, Poxt 465.Secure (SSL): Yes. Error Number: 0×800CCC08

Can anyone please help me sort out the issue? I'll be really grateful. Waiting for your replies

Hello Dennis,

The SMTP settings may be incorrect and as a result the messages that can't be send are stored in the Outbox. Your ISP's home page should be having a support page that will show the correct outgoing mail settings. So you will need to check that and configure them correctly.

Hi,

It looks like you cannot connect to the server. The first things that you need to check is that the server is up and running. If the server is fine then there is a possibility that MS outlook is outdated. Do check your updated regularly and update it if any updated are available. update outlook and check for any registry errors this should solve the problem. I hope you find the solution.
