Microsoft Office Excel Error Message

Hi there,

 Microsoft Excel 2007 is installed on a 32-bit WXP. An error occurs when an MS Excel file is opened of which the XLS engine under UNIX is used to create the file in Interface of SAS/ACCESS to PC Files. When I try to choose ‘Yes’, the same error message continue to appear. Could I open again these excel files? Some researches are done about this but nothing can help. So please help and thanks for advance.

The file you are trying to open,’#LN00009.xls’,is a different format than specified by the file extension. Verify that

the file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening the file.

Microsoft Office Excel Error Message

This is a user-notification feature for Excel 2007 to get rid of the sudden problems that occurs due to incompatibility of the main content and its extension.

To fix this and you trust the source of the file, select YES on the warning that appears.

Hi! I can see that you are having issues with your Microsoft Excel 2007 that must be really frustrating. Do not worry, I will do my best to research and solve your issue.

Just to check, here are some questions that I we need to check and this might also answer your query.

• Is this the first time you have this error?
• Is this the first time you tried opening it using Microsoft Excel 2007?
• Did you consider or have you tried opening it on a different software that can open spreadsheets, just to check if the file is corrupted or not?

please answer so that we can really check what is the source of the issue because as we can see on the error, we need to verify if the file is not corrupted and for us to check that, we can try to use a different software that open can open/read spreadsheets (e.g. Open Office, Microsoft Excel 2010, Zoho Office Suite ).
