Hello.

When I was installing Microsoft Office (Microsoft Access Database Engine 2013 Redistributable), I have encountered this error message:

Microsoft Access database engine 2010 (English) Setup

You cannot install the 32-bit version of Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 because you currently have 64-bit Office products installed. If you want to install 32-bit Access Database Engine 2010, you will first need to remove the 64-bit installation of Office products. After uninstalling the following product(s), rerun setup in order to install 32-bit version of Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010:
Microsoft Office Visio Professional 2007, Microsoft Office Project Professional 2007, Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010

OK

Microsoft Office Single Image 2010

What do you think is the main problem for this? And can someone please help me fix this?

Thank you.

Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 installation error

Hi George,

It appears you already have 64-bit version of MS Office installed in your system.

The error reported by you comes up only if you have 64-bit version installed that is incompatible with 32-bit version you are trying to install.

Moreover, you cannot install 64-bit and 32-bit versions of Office 2010 applications on the same computer.

The solution would be to have products from the same version. If possible choose the 32-bit version, an approach recommended by Microsoft as well as that would allow using third party add-ins which are available for 32-bit versions only.

Hope this helps you fix the issue.
