 I think my mac book needs detecting spy program. It has gotten really slow, and takes time to boot. So, I am looking if there is an app that would do this?

Method of detecting spy program on Mac book

If you suspect that your system is indeed infected by spyware or maybe a virus because of its unusual slowness, then you may try installing Norton Internet Security for Mac. This version of NIS for Macintosh is different from the usual NIS for Windows. You can’t use NIS for Windows on a Mac PC and the same goes to NIS for Mac. NIS for Mac is exclusively for Macintosh computers only.

NIS for Mac works with Macintosh OS X 10.7 or maybe later and you can download it by visiting Internet Security 5 for Mac. NIS for Windows has a 30-day trial period and I’m not sure if this is also the same with NIS for Mac. Just try it out by downloading the installer from the link above. Be sure to do a “LiveUpdate” after the antivirus has been installed so its database is updated for the latest virus signatures.
