Hi experts,

I get this weird error message after starting up Mac OS X v10.6 or later and logging in. What does it mean by “Insecure Startup Item disabled”. Have any suggestion about this annoying message? I need your assistance to fix this issue. Thanks.

Insecure Startup Item disabled.

“/Library/StartupItems/MyApache” has not been started because it does not have the proper security settings.

  • Launch the /Library/StartupItems folder.
  • Look for the item (MY APACHE) whose name is displayed in the message that appeared after logging in, then drag this item to the Trash.
  • Restart Mac OS X; verify that the message no longer appears.
  • If the item you removed is part of software that you would like to have installed, re-install the software, then restart Mac OS X.
  • If the "Insecure Startup Item disabled" message returns after re-installing the software, contact the developer of this software to find out if an update is available to correct this issue.
