Hey, the supported OS for the windows defender virus removal tool is supported in many cross platforms for the various OS as well. More of is used in the windows OS such as in the windows 8.1 version, windows 8, windows Vista and Windows Xp and others OS too. Below shows the installing steps:
• First go to the safe mode and disconnect the PC from internet and don’t use the same until it’s been cleaned
• Now delete all the temporary files too
• Next can install the malware scanners too
