Media Player Classic encountered an error

Hello,

I just started to use Media Player Classic on Windows 7 Operating System but when I try to play any media file and attempt to save it, the following error message displays on the screen. I just closed the Media Player Classic and restarted again but no effect took place. How can I resolve this issue as I have tried many times to fix it. Please suggest me another best way to resolve this problem. Thanks in advance.

Media Player Classic encountered an error

Hi,

In order to resolve this try these things:

• Disable ‘Overlay Mixer’ under Output Settings: To disable this setting, follow following steps:

o   In the ‘View’, go to ‘Options’

o   From the left panel select ‘Output’ and make sure that ‘Overlay Mixer’ is unchecked.

 

• DirectX Version should be at least 9 or above: Also: You should be using at least DirectX 9 version on your machine/ computer system. In order to check the version of DirectX installed:
  • Click ‘Windows Key + R’ from the keyboard
  • Write 'dxdiag' without quotes and press enter to access ‘DirectX Diagnostic Tool’ and view the installed DirectX version.
