Mandriva 2011 vs Windows operating system

Hello good day,

I am gene, I am using windows operating ever since but today. I want to explore other operating system and I want mandriva 2011. I was wondering if what are the advantage of using mandriva 2011 (LINUX) operating system over windows operating system.

Mandriva 2011 vs Windows operating system

Linux has a big advantage over windows (not only mandriva). I think you know all of it. It is a free OS that is the most important it respect's the freedom of yours. When I was young I just can't believe that there is full free OS like Linux. Now come to more details, Mandriva install so fast though it is a come from a DVD it looks like there is a CD from where it come.

Some time it is faster than windows because it supports old and new hardware equally. It was make to sop pert both old and new super fast computer. Also there is an advance for laptops that I care about, it eat less battery charge than windows. Which is impressive, isn’t it.
